Please follow the quick pre requisites below:

  • First, you should back up all the data in your Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330. We strongly advise you to use the steps provided. The Kies or the ROM Manager may not be useful in order to help you restore the same.

In order to backup the SMS – use the “SMS Backup & Restore app”. For the contacts, you will need the Gmail application in order to Sync (Sync with the Gmail application)

In case you want to still keep the Call Log, just use the Call Log and Restore function.

Of course, this would be a perfect time to clean your computer of the unnecessary files. Still, for those you still want to keep, all you have to do is copy them to the internal/ external SD card.  The same should be done with the songs and videos you have stored on your device.

Another type of files you should not forget about are the APN and MMS Settings. In order to backup them, you should follow the provided path, going to Applications – Settings – Wireless and Network, select the Mobile Network and then the Access Point Names

  • Next, you should be sure the USB Debugging Mode from your computer is enabled. You can check it from the Settings. Select the Application sub-menu and then Development where you should have the USB debugging.
  • We recommend you to charge your phone, so that your battery should be at least 30% ; otherwise you might risk to start the whole process over, just in the case your device gets turned off in the middle of the rooting process.

Disclaimer: We do not assume any responsibility for any damage you might cause to your device if you do not follow the instructions accordingly. In the case you have any additional questions, still, we shall try to help you out through the comments section below.
